Who is a Jew? Who are today's Jews?

Who is a Jew?
A Jew is any person born from a Jewish mother or a true convert to Judaism.
See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Who_is_a_Jew%3F

Who are today's Jews?
Today's Jews are the descendants of the patriarch Ya'aqov/Jacob (whose name is also Yisrael/Israel) and of true converts to Judaism.
See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jew

Different names trough history to describe the Jewish People:
- The 'Ivriim/Hebrews: from the time of Abraham until the Exodus of Egypt;
- The Beney Yisrael/Children of Israel: from the Exodus of Egypt until the split of the two Kingdoms: Yisrael/Israel and Yehudah/Judah;
- The Yehudim/Jews: from the Kingdom of Yehudah/Judah until today;
- The Israelites: from Napoleon and contemporary era until today.

Note: to not be confused with these two terms: Israelis and Zionists: neither the Zionists nor the Israelis represent the Jewish People, they only represent their members:
- The Zionists are only the followers of a 19 century political movement of secularist Jews and Gentiles whose aim was the return of all the Jews of the world into the Land of Israel and establish a secular anti-Torah State, puting aside the Torah as a whole and most Jewish traditions;
- The Israelis are only the citizens of the secular State of Israel (where 25% of its inhabitants are non Jews) and are comprised of only 38% of the world Jewish population (2007).
